google the difference between a stag and a deer (or are they the same thing?)
I’m actually going outstation tomorrow. Leaving for my hometown in Johor for this annual thing called Qing Ming (it’s a chinese thing) where we commemorate our ancestors and those who have passed away ~ going to the cemetery. wee.
“The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – that you’d thought special, particular to you. And here it is, set down by someone else, a person you’ve never met, maybe even someone long dead. And it’s as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.”—The History Boys (via maddierose)
my juniors find me intimidating, -well some of them anyway- which is funny because I’m not that tall -which is normally my friendly factor with them young ones- and I have that “hey I’m friends with everyone!” friendly face so I really don’t get why the juniors this year seem to be avoiding me.
But oh I now have 2 favourite little juniors. I like them cause;
they’re shorter than me (a little) LOL
they’re seriously cute
and they’re nice
and they don’t seem to be afraid of me (CHEERS TO THAT BRUV)
one of them calls me big sister and the other always tries to make a conversation with me. I don’t know about you but that’s just fucking cute. 13 year olds these days oh :’) I’m just saying that they’re stuck with me. k.
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”—Henry David Thoreau (via atomology)
So today I got the news and…………..I didn’t get the job for my school magazine’s sub editor 2.
But it’s okay, I was really hoping for a new learning experience and even though I didn’t get the job, I will still be joining the editorial board’s English segment to learn and help out with the magazine so all in all it is quite a win-win situation for me so yay!
